Explore and understand South Africa's cultural groups at Museum Africa

Museum Africa houses a great collection of objects, photographs and paintings. This collection was started in 1935. It tells the history of the African continent from the early civilisations to modern-day Africa. Some of the displays focus on local indigenous cultures and there is an impressive collection of rock art. Another main display covers the Treason Trial and has an image of all the people who were tried. Under each image is a red book where people can share their opinions of the people or write down what they know about the person.
