Just two hours outside of Johannesburg you can see the Big 5. This park is situated in a malaria-free area and is ranked among the big parks in South Africa. Some other sightings you can look out for are the aardwolf, the brown hyena, and the cheetah. You can book a game drive or take your car and see what game you can spot. The birding in the Pilanesberg is also quite spectacular. When your tummy starts to grumble, you can picnic in one of the picnic spots or visit one of the lodges for lunch.
