See a flamingo at the Florence Bloom Bird Sanctuary

The Florence Bloom Bird Sanctuary is the oldest sanctuary of its kind in Johannesburg. Situated within Delta Park, this sanctuary boasts a list of 250 different birds that could be seen. The different ecosystems mean that you could see water birds, grassland birds and bird which enjoy hiding in the canopies of trees. There have also been accounts of unusual birds like the Madagascar Cuckoo, Long-tailed Pipit, and Ayres Hawk-Eagle been spotted in the sanctuary. This sanctuary was built as a memorial for Florence Bloom by her sons. She loved nature and birds.
